RE: Looking for victims of theft

I am 100% with Hap...!!! The reporter will get his story and have his 15 minutes and we will all suffer for EVER, as more and more people (rat bastard thieves) talk about it with each other and then pretty soon all storage lots will have to have razor wire, 100 cameras and even a 24 hour guard... And guess who will be paying for all this added security, NOT the storage yard, but yes, you and I.. Please tell your fried to find a story about a family that likes to use there toy hauler and has many of fun family trips... I'm sure there is a story there, heck it might even help the industry out not make people want to not invest in something that will just get stolen.... This is completely irresponsible on your friends part

RE: Sierra toy haulers (looking at 2007 27RDSP)?

Would you be towing with the dogs in the back of the Toy Hauler. If so I would think they will be pretty shaken up by the time you get anywhere.. The springs of a TH are make to handle the weight of toys so, like a heavy duty pick up with no weight in the back it can be a pretty bumpy ride. For the dogs sake I would look into this..

RE: What will my insurance do

I have put a lot of time and energy into this rig... There is no way I will ever have what i had with out shelling out a pile of cash and there is no way that the trailer will ever be the same and possibly not safe.. So either way I believe I am screwed.... This sucks... Some scum bag hits my rig and I get to pay for it!!! Put together all the receipts you can find and present them to your ins company. They'll fight you on some of it, but it's worth the hassle. On a claim this big, it's worth your time to bust out your policy and get very familiar with the coverage and exclusions. Read and re-read the Collision section and the definition of "your covered auto". Pretend you're an inmate studying law to file your own appeal. If the jailbirds are smart enough to do it, you should be too. Did you just call me 'Dumb as a crook"? LOL:S:B

RE: What will my insurance do

so I went and looked at the trailer again today... I found that the rear ramp door is out of alinement.. if you measure from the outside edge of the trailer to the edge of the door it is about 1 inch on one side and 3 inches on the other... man it keeps getting worse

RE: What will my insurance do

Why would you not call your insurance company and ask? Seems you would get a much better answer from them, then from us web opinion generators… Ben Well I am in contact with my insurance company, but it is always good to have as much info as possible when talking to somebody about something you know very little about. I am trying not to get screwed twice in one accident that I was not even part of.....

What will my insurance do

Well as some of you know, my WW FSC3200 was minding it's own business parked at the storage lot when some somebody cut the corner (at speed) with there trailer. It picked up the tongue and carried it until the back end swung out and hit a class A parked next to me. The back now had nowhere to go so all six tires slid sideways about a foot. It them came unhooked from the other trailer but by this time hit had picked up the front end over the open trailer on the other side, it slammed down on top of that and sprung back smashing down to the ground... Damage the pass rear (where it hit the class A) minimal cosmetic ( I think) Front driver side Holding tanks smashed, valves broken off ENTIRE side wall buckled, Down at least 1.5 inches in the front Roof down 1.5 inches on driver side inside molding near front buckled I took it to Metro RV in Burbank CA. I just talked to them and they said 12K to fix. They would have to take the complete side off to fix it... This thing will never be the same... Any insurance guys or gals out there have any idea what the insurance company will do.. BTW, it was a hit and run...

RE: I have a 2004 F350. How much toyhauler can I really tow?

I purchased a 2006 Keystone Hobbi last March. Dealer told me no problem towing it with my 2005 F150 (with tow package), loaded with three ATVs. Trailer's GVWR is around 7400#, F150 tow capacity is 8900#. The F150 did tow it OK. It also had to run 4500 RPM to hold 50 going up some hills between San Antonio and Marble Falls, where we go riding. Then I started reading these forums, and I did the math (some only estimates, like weight of food and gear, but weight of ATVs/dirt bikes was based on OEM specs). I was only 130 pounds below the F150's GCWR!! No wonder I slid to stop at the light at 281 and 306.... Two weeks ago, I traded the F150 for a diesel F350 long bed...so, yes the advice I got here was worth every nickel I paid for it (Of course it cost me a few nickels in the long run, but peace of mind is priceless). Taking the F350 out for the first time today with the Hobbi..I hope it pulls the 7000# OK.... Ahhhhh you "hope it pulls the 7000lbs OK" ..?? I would be worried that you forget its back there and change lanes into somebody...:B

RE: Packing it in 12' Garage

I just measured it and it is 12' exactly from kitchen to back door. I do have the rhino in the kitchen about 6' at an angle as this picture shows a little. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g72/thinkpt/77df06ba.jpg At an angle some is in and some is out. It is not an enclosed garage though as you can see. The quad is under the rhino a little(rhino is stock) and rear end is past the back end a little so it fits right to the end. I stand (sit) corrected.. i'm impressed

Took picture of my rhino and quad in trailer. Hope this helps http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g72/thinkpt/e38000b7.jpg I think is talking about a 12' garage. Your Rhino and that quad, like that is more than 12'

RE: cool addition to a TH

They gave a weight of 100lb without the engine. Any guesses on the weight with the engine? I'm thinking around 150lb There is a pic on the site of a guy picking up the engine. I agree 20 or 30lbs.. For $3400 it seams pricy to me...
